I believe jewelry can be so much more than something beautiful to wear. It can be a little world of your own, a place for memories to live and feelings to take shape. Something deeply personal that you carry close, long after the moments that inspired it have passed.

At Karmila Darling, I create sculptural fine jewelry that celebrates the romance and whimsy of everyday life. I am drawn to the peculiarities of nature, the beauty of precious materials, and the little details that make an object feel alive. There is something wonderful about transforming solid gold and natural gemstones into tiny, tactile worlds that invite you to look a little closer.

I believe there is room for playfulness in fine jewelry, and that the most precious things need not be solemn. A flower can be sculptural. A button can become a keepsake. A familiar little object can be reimagined in gold and transformed into something extraordinary.

Each piece begins with an idea, a feeling, or a story. Through my own hands and those of skilled artisans I work alongside, these ideas are brought to life with care and consideration for the materials themselves. I want the craftsmanship to be as meaningful as the imagination behind it, creating objects that are a joy to hold as much as they are to wear.

My Story

Karmila Darling is named after my late grandmother, Karmila. The brand is a celebration of the warmth, freedom and playfulness I associate with girlhood, and the memories of love and belonging that stay with us as we grow older.

Before jewelry, I spent years working as an industrial designer. My creative life moved through different disciplines, each with its own expectations of what design should accomplish. There was always a need to rationalise an idea, to demonstrate its usefulness, or to make it serve some greater purpose.

Yet I have always been drawn to ornament, sentiment and the seemingly frivolous. I love objects that make people smile, that tell stories, or that simply exist because someone thought they would be beautiful.

Finding jewelry gave me a place where those instincts finally made sense.

Here, beauty can be the purpose. A tiny sculptural detail can be worth obsessing over. Something whimsical can also be made with extraordinary care, in materials precious enough to last generations.

I am still finding my voice as an artist, but through Karmila Darling, I have found the freedom to make things that feel entirely my own.

And I hope, in wearing them, you find a little piece of your own world too.
